Classes were suspended in Visayas and Mindanao as Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) made landfall over Baganga town in Davao Oriental before 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Classes were suspended from preschool to high school in Agusan del
Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, the Dinagat
Islands, Cagayan De Oro City, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu City, Mandaue City,
Iligan City, and Talisay City, according to a report on GMA News' Saksi.
Classes were also suspended in all levels in Lanao del Sur, Cebu and Bukidnon, a report on GMA News' Kape at Balita said.
Meanwhile, classes were suspended from preschool to elementary in Maguindanao.
Office work was also suspended in government offices in the Caraga Region and Davao Oriental, except for emergency and rescue services.
Meanwhile, the Department of Education reminded the public that under Executive Order 66, automatic suspension of classes applies to kindergarten in areas under Storm Signal No. 1.
For areas under Storm Signal No. 2, classes are automatically suspended from preschool to high school, while classes are automatically suspended from preschool to college in areas under Storm Signal No. 3.
For areas under Storm Signal No. 2, classes are automatically suspended from preschool to high school, while classes are automatically suspended from preschool to college in areas under Storm Signal No. 3.
In Bacolod City, Acting Mayor Jude Thaddy Sayson suspended classes for all levels.
