LOS ANGELES — How do you throw a party to celebrate the premiere of the final film in a game-changing franchise like "Twilight"? If you're Summit Entertainment, you pull out all the stops and bring in live animals, props from all five films and treat your most dedicated fans to an early screening of "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." MTV News was proud to be there before, during and after to soak up all the "Twilight" goods we still can.
After a three-and-a-half-hour-long and quite memorable press line on the traditional "Twilight" black carpet, nearly 5,000 lucky attendees packed into L.A.'s Nokia Theater to see the final film. (Kristen Stewart proved to be the chattiest Cathy as well as the most fashionably late.) Also noteworthy here is the fact that Summit made it possible for all the fans who camped out for the premiere in the "Twilight tent city" to see the film a few days ahead of its release. Unsurprisingly, their reactions lit up the social media spheres with very excited and totally satisfied responses.

Following the viewing of "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2," guests and stars alike ventured to the afterparty which was chock full of the most memorable props, costumes and settings from the series. Some of our favorite things on display: Bella and Edward's wedding day attire and arbor, a bunch of "Spartan" gear from Forks High School, Bella's truck, the Volturi thrones and several pieces of that infamous meadow in which we see Edward sparkle for the first time. Partygoers were all over the meadow plots, where they took turns lying down in the fake grass to stage their own Edward/Bella photos. Oh, and the wait staff were wearing black or red Volturi cloaks — a nice touch considering in the "Twilight" world, the Volturi would never "serve" anyone.
