uan Manuel Marquez's shocking win over Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao, Saturday (Sunday, PHL time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena did not come without a cost.

Marquez was diagnosed by doctors as having a broken nose and possible concussion, Top Rank Boxing tweeted out.

His opponent though, Pacquiao, was taken to the hospital as a precaution, following his sixth round knockout.

Pacquiao was hit square on the chin by a right from Marquez, as the Mexican countered a 1-2 combo. He then fell flat on the canvas floor, knocked out cold and twitching.

Marquez later said of the punch, "After I saw that he was going to throw the 1-2, I stepped to the right and I hit him flush, and that's why he went down." - AMD, GMA News
