Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago has filed an indefinite leave following several issues with her health.
In a letter to Senate Journal editor Magdalena Abeleda on Monday, Santiago said she will be on sick leave for hypertension and chronic bone marrow disorder starting January 21.
"My sick leave will continue until my blood pressure and my bone marrow disorder shall have stabilized, as certified by my doctors, particularly Dr. Esperanza Cabral, former Health secretray, former Heart Center director, and my personal physician," she said. — Miriam Defensor Santiago/RSJ, GMA News
