Pristine Tubbataha Reef under threat from grounding of USS Guardian

The fragile marine life in Tubbataha Reef in Palawan is in danger of serious damage if the USS Guardian remains stuck in the protected natural park. The window of opportunity to safely remove the navy ship from the delicate coral atoll is closing fast, as rough weather associated with the northeast monsoon is expected to worsen over the next few days.
