Some 500,000 overseas Filipino workers in Dubai and Northern Emirates in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will celebrate Migrant Workers' Day on June 7.

The OFWs and their families will mark the event at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) on Beirut Street in Al Qusais from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

With the theme “Migranteng Pilipino: Tayo ay Magkasama sa Pag-abot sa Pangarap Mo (Filipino Migrants: We will reach out your dreams together)," the celebrations will be an open house, Khaleej Times reported.

The event will also see the launching of the "OFW Mag-impok Magnegosyo Movement (OFW-M3)" and the tribute song for OFWs "Abot Kamay Kita."

Composed by Vehnee Saturno, the song will be played via Skype at the World Trade Center in Manila, and POLO in Dubai, Milan and Hong Kong to mark its launch.

Communal prayers will be led by Fr. Tom Veneracion for Christians and Alim Alaodin Lucman for the Muslim Filipinos. - VVP, GMA News
